Story 

The big move to Mumbai from Kolkata wasn’t especially difficult for her – she’d been anticipating it for many years now. What bothered her was how things she’d grown up with now assumed a new identity. For instance, her beloved pantuas were now gulab jamuns, and that bothered her each time she purchased the sweet from her neighbourhood halwai. But when she bit into the syrup-soaked ball of dough and relished its caramelised goodness, she realised that no matter what you called it, a gulab jamun would always taste as sweet.

Description

Handloom cotton is woven using hand operated looms. Two sets of interlacing yarns, the warp (length) and weft (width), are woven on a mechanised loom operated by weavers. Human handling lends the fabrics a unique feel and renders the fabrics more value, making it extremely comfortable to wear. Handloom cotton is more breathable and thus feels lighter in summers and is perfect for layering in winters.
The art of hand weaving is labour intensive and takes a relatively longer time. But, the beauty it adds to the fabric is priceless. Choosing handloom cotton supports the rich weaving heritage of India and lets the weavers carry on the precious art-form to the future generations as well.
